Va à Béthel, Kapena Cibwabwa

 

 

  Résumé: Lisungi Mbula, un jeune homme vivant au Congo, va être initié peu à peu par un de ses professeurs à la magie indienne. Malgré son "ascension" dans le monde satanique, il décidera de se tourner vers Jésus-Christ, non sans conséquences...

 

Mon avis: C'est un livre puissant! Indéniablement il va avoir une influence sur son lecteur. On relèvera les pièges sataniques dans lesquels nous pouvons tomber inconsciemment, l'influence insoupçonnée de la sexualité hors mariage sur notre esprit, de la magie, de la confiance en l'homme plus qu'en Dieu, et évidemment le grand danger de ne pas avoir une foi ferme en Jésus-Christ.

   Ce témoignage de Lisungi Mbula peut faire peur, mais il ouvre les yeux sur le fait que quand Dieu dit à Ses enfants "Veillez" (Matthieu 26.41; Marc 13.33; 1 Corinthiens 16.13; etc) c'est parce qu'il y a beaucoup de choses qui dépassent nos connaissances et notre compréhension dans ce monde. Toute le haine que Satan ressent pour nous, le rend actif dans nos vies. Mais point d'inquiétude! Car le grand thème de ce témoignage est avant tout l'infini miséricorde de Dieu à notre égard. Il veut nous protéger, mais sans notre consentement, nous courrons à notre perte.

   Un autre point capital de l'ouvrage: la responsabilité du chrétien. Jésus rappelle à Lisungi que nous sommes tous nés pêcheurs et nous avons tous commis des fautes. Notre rôle est de nous en repentir et de parler! Nous devons prévenir les autres pour qu'ils ne commettent pas les mêmes erreurs que nous, erreurs qui pourraient les mener encore plus loin dans le péché. Cet appel "Va à Béthel" est un rappel que la vie du chrétien n'est pas seulement de vivre une vie sainte,  mais aussi d'aimer son prochain. L'aimer veut dire le protéger, le guider, prendre soin de lui.

 

Le gros bémol (qui, d'après moi, gâche tout le livre): Certains dires de Lisungi Mbula sur la mort sont en totale contradiction avec ce que la Bible révèle. Il ne peut être décédé autant de fois qu'il le prétend croit. Ecclésiaste 9.10 dit "Tout ce que ta main trouve à faire avec ta force, fais-le; car il n'y a ni oeuvre, ni pensée, ni science, ni sagesse, dans le séjour des morts où tu vas." Au regard de cela, la possibilité qu'il ait pû mourir, voir le séjour des morts etc. n'est pas possible. Les termes "être en vision" ou "extase" me paraissent être les plus appropriés. Cette erreur révélée, on ne peut que se demander sur quel autre point s'est-il trompé?

 

     "Va à Béthel" est un témoignage qui ne peut laisser indifférent. C'est un exemple fort de l'amour et du pardon incommensurables de Dieu. Pour autant, je ne classerais pas ce livre dans les indispensables, car le fait d'étudier la Parole de Dieu et de croire pleinement en Lui c'est-à-dire Le prier et Lui demander Sa protection nous conduira à Ses bénédictions et à une compréhension de Sa volonté sans pour autant connaître certaines malfaisances sataniques. De plus, certaines incohérences avec les Ecritures lui font perdre du crédit. Ces contradictions nous rappellent que le seul livre indispensable reste la Bible, cohérente et pleine de différents témoignages on ne peut plus parlants.
